Slow Rewind

Well, sweeps are sweeping this month and there's a couple of things I'd like to say about them...

1. Did anyone SEE America's Next Top Model? I mean, anyone with sight or hearing could tell that JOANIE was supposed to win, NOT Danielle. It's quite sad, the way that Jade left off. No, not sad because we were upset to see her go. It was sad that she thought that after the irritating way she held her nose higher than everyone else and the arrogance to strutted around with, we would remember her as someone special, different. An obnoxious model?? How unique! I may be being to harsh but really. She kept coming up to the door and snapping her fingers to a beat no one else was hearing. I think the producers must've ben so irritated they just slammed the door to get her out. Atleast SHE didn't win.

2. We said goodbye to disco in the series finale of That 70's Show. First things first: WHY DIDN'T WE FIND OUT WHERE FES IS FROM???? I swear, we came THIS close to seeing but alas. (Did you know that Fes stands for Foreign Exchange Student?) I LOVE how Hyde had an intervention because he WASN'T doing drugs (did anyone catch that striped sweat band? Yikes.), that was priceless. I was very upset when I heard reports that Topher Grace wasn't coming back for the finale (I stopped watching new episodes when Topher and Ashton left) and I almost cried (really) when he came back for Donna. He was a regular skinny, pale knight in a sweater vest. But atleast they could tie up the series nicely NOT like how they spontaneously cancelled Joan of Arcadia (my favorite) right after she meets the devil. I mean COME ON!

3. Ellegirl. Alright, so TECHNICALLY it wasn't supposed to sweep but any hard-core Ellegirl fan can tell you that Ellegirl magazine has folded (magazine industry word for shut down) and won't be producing any more issues after the Adam Brody (yum) cover. I'm seriously considering picketing (not really) but it wouldn't do any good. Ellegirl made fashion fun. But sadly, no more... Special shout out to Anne, superhero-entertainment editor, it's been fun, so thanks.

4. 24- Okay, I missed this past week's episode but I MUST see it on TiVo or Itunes before tomorrow night's FINALE! It all comes down to this math problem: Jack Bauer + Gun + Face off with president Logan = ??? (SPOILER ALERT! I've HEARD from a valuable source (hehe) that Logan does not die in the finale.) Hmmmmm...

5. The O.C. What. The. Heck. Lemme just say, Mischa Barton is NOTHING without The O.C., you hear me??? NOTHING!!!! Any way, next season's gonna be way different with Seth and Ryan in the OC, Marrisa dead, Summer at college (where Seth should be joining her in January), Marissa's weird little sister trying to rule Harbor, Taylor out of the picture... it's all gonna be much different.

6. The Office. I'll admit, not one of the BEST episodes (if you want humor check out "the Injury" episode on Itunes) probably becasue BJ Novak took a backseat to Steve Carrell in the writing department but it had it's parts. The bit with Kevin's band was worth a chuckle on the laugh-o-meter and Creed's compulsive stealing was a few laughs-out-loud at least. But Pam and Jim??? What if Jim transfers??? What will happen with Roy (whom I hate now)??? Who will Pam pick??? All I do know is that the Office is moving to 8:30 next season which is good. Plus you know, right before The OC. So.... yeah. P.S. I heard that Dwight is really NOT freaky in real life. He's totally normal! Weird!!!

Must go, more later!

P.S. Above is a photo of the Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer)
