I'll just jump right in:

ARTIST: Yeah Yeah Yeahs SONG TO HEAR: Gold Lion

I know that for artsy deco-ish rocker this band/single is probably been there, done that. I've been a not-so-on-the-scene fan for awhile now but when Show Your Bones came out I was hooked and suprisingly a steady drumbeat and a set of moaning vocals were all it really took. I mean, sure Karen O.'s obscure ethnicity and bold fashion sense are mysteries (to me at least) but they are all quickly overlooked when she starts screaming and stomping and...dare I say it? writhing on stage. Ah well. Behind every (seemingly) maniac is a genius. I think. Anyway, "Honeybear" and "Fancy" are other slam-dunks on their new album Show Your Bones. And if you're really really interested Rolling Stone published a great intro article a couple of issues back, which I'm sure you can find in the internet archives if you look hard enough.
