Bring It

Okay so I've been getting a ton of Q's about the movie Snakes On A Plane and even more about the new band Cobra Starship, with ex-Midtown frontman Gabe Saporta, which provide their first single on the movie's soundtrack. I am extremely flattered that people have asked for my opinion about the band. So here it goes: If you take apart the band you find members Gabe, William Beckett (from one of my favorite bands ever The Academy Is...), Travis McCoy (of the Gym Class Heroes), and (lead singer of my favorite Swedish band) Maja Ivarrson (of the Sounds). When you put that combination together, three-fourths of the band have already won me over and after hearing "Snakes On A Plane (Bring It)" I think I've found a new band to follow. You can catch their Snakes On A Plane video on YouTube and check out Gabe Saporta's myspace page with exclusive photos and posts from behind the scenes. So I was a little iffy about the whole "snakes on a plane" buisness, but with a soundtrack as rock solid as the compilation between DecayDance and Fueled by Ramen, I might actually see the stupid thing. Cobra Starship's album drops October 10th, so run, don't walk, to the nearest record store and preorder your copy as well as the kick-@$$ "Snakes On A Plane" soundtrack. All the cool kids are doing it.
Signing off now,
Kit
P.S. Super Group. From left: Travis, Maja, Gabe, William.
P.S.S. Okay, there is a lot of buzz about William and Gabe (if you haven't heard) but I don't think it's anything to get worked up about...well I hope not.
P.S.S.S. Love how William always ties a scarf around his knee. Very Steven Tyler-y.
