So I'll Sit Here (Waiting)

Summer's coming to an end, so let's make it last, shall we? Anywho, you may all know about my true love/obesession Jason Mraz. If you don't know about this poetic songwriter/mix master, you live under a rock. I have been waiting and waiting for any small bit of news about his next album coming out and I finally have seen word of the next album, along with the title, "Touch Your Tongue To Mine", most of which are love songs (I gather). Can't wait either? Check out Jason's pod cast in which he remixes old songs, talks about new songs, and outlines life. I have placed it at the bottom of this post.

Has anyone heard the new Killer's single ("When We Were Young")? I am mildly excited for the album, but you know, it doesn't sound like "Hot Fuss" Killers. It's more rock and roll than the last album and (as Rolling Stone says numerous times in this month's issue) sounds Springsteen infused, a statement with which I must agree. So get the single before the album (Sam's Town, drops October 3rd) and let me know what you think.

Now, Kasabian (the band that brought you the full length "Kasabian" in 2004 and the single "Club Foot" in 2005) is back- with another single called "Empire", which I do really like. Fans of Kasabian that are too tired of waiting for a new LP to come out should begin branching out into similar bands such as Kaiser Cheifs (Employment, a personal favorite of mine), Spoon (GImme Fiction), and/or The Arcade Fire (Funeral). I, for one, am sick of waiting around! What about you?

Another things that I'm waiting for: Sophia Coppola's biopic Marie Antoinette. The soundtrack to the trailer and teaser looked great (the teaser features the song, "Age Of Consent" by New Order) so I can only imagine what the actual movie is like(which stars Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzman (one of my favorite actors since Rushmore)).
